Learn How Local Animals Survive Winter With Free Dayton Metro Library Program

How animals survive in winter

Dayton Metro Library issued the following announcement on February 18.

Learn How Local Animals Survive Winter With Free Dayton Metro Library Program

The Dayton Metro Library is offering a free virtual program, Animals & Weather: Five Rivers MetroParks, Thursday, February 24, from 6 - 6:30 pm. This program correlates with the Library’s monthly Take and Make Kit’s theme of “weather.”

Children in pre-K and grades 1-4, along with their families, can watch as Five Rivers MetroParks Naturalists discuss how animals native to the Dayton area survive cold and snowy winters.

This virtual program is held through Webex. Advanced registration is required.

To participate via Webex, it is recommended that participants have a stable internet connection, a microphone-enabled device or headset, and if desired, a webcam. If you do not have those items, you may also join by phone. On the day of the event, those who registered will be emailed a link to join the program.

Take and Make Kits are available at all Branches while supplies last. However, the Kits aren’t required to enjoy the fun of this virtual program.

To register or for more details about this program, visit DaytonMetroLibrary.org/Programs or call the Ask Me Line at 937.463.2665.
