Dayton Metro Library issued the following announcement on February 28.
Celebrate Women’s History Month with Exhibits at Dayton Metro Library
Women’s History Month begins Tuesday, March 1, and Dayton Metro Library is celebrating the contributions women have made to events in history and society with two profound exhibits.
Miami Township Branch Library:
Women’s History Month: 19th Amendment Exhibit
This exhibit celebrates the 100th anniversary milestone of when the U.S. House of Representatives passed the 19th Amendment, which gave women the right to vote. Patrons can view vintage photos from the Library’s Women’s Suffrage Collection and an early 20th century scrapbook.
Multifaceted Women
Judy Campbell White is an artist who explores how women are judged by others with a series of marker drawings textured with patterns and hidden scenes.
Both exhibits run through Thursday, March 31 and are open for viewing during Library operating hours. For more information call the Ask Me Line at 937.463.2665.
