Yesterday evening, Trotwood Fire & Rescue 3rd platoon members Marcus Roll, Hannah Barnes, Ryan Miniard, LT Michael Snyder, and LT Sean Lehrter were honored with the Lifesavers Award presented by Premier Health for providing care to a cardiac arrest patient at the Greyhound terminal. The patient was transported to Miami Valley North Hospital, and taken to the Cath lab at Miami Valley Hospital via Care Flight. As a result of the immediate and outstanding care provided by the Trotwood Fire & Rescue department, the patient has since made a full recovery with no deficits.
This is extremely rare, with an average of only 10% of Return of Spontaneous Circulation (ROSC) patients making a full recovery with no deficits. Thank you Trotwood Fire Department & FANTASTIC job, everyone!
