The City of Trotwood begins the next phase of investing in our community with the official groundbreaking ceremony of the 200,000 square foot., $18 million investment in our Industrial Park by GATED Properties Global. Daniel Penn and his son Adin Penn have spearheaded this project in partnership with Chad Downing, Executive Director of the Trotwood Community Improvement Corporation. This Class-A, 200,000-square-foot facility signifies the continued effort to invest in our community and recreate Trotwood as a whole! Not only will this facility bring in new businesses, but there will also be many new jobs created for Trotwood residents and Montgomery county residents.
"This is one of the largest investments in the City of Trotwood in many years and the City is proud to support the development with a 15-year 100% tax abatement to support the competitiveness of this site to attract businesses,” said Trotwood City Manager Quincy Pope.
A fundamental part of the project includes internships for Trotwood-Madison and Miami Valley CTC students; now is the time to invest in bettering our community and offering new opportunities to the leaders of tomorrow’s world. This project is a result of the collaborative efforts among GATED Properties Global, JobsOhio, the City of Trotwood, Trotwood Community Improvement Corporation (TCIC), Montgomery County, and the Dayton Development Coalition. Thank you to all who have worked on and have been a part of this project, the future of Trotwood is bright, and there’s a new city being built each day!
