Earlier this week a mosquito trapped in the area near Pool Road and Helke Park tested positive for the West Nile virus. As a precaution, Public Health - Dayton & Montgomery County will be spraying the area with a pesticide. The plan is to spray Thursday, September 29, between dusk and midnight, weather permitting.
The pesticide poses minimal threat to human health and has been show to be effective in controlling mosquito populations. Click the link for more details on the pesticide being used.
