A huge THANK YOU! to everyone who stopped out and joined us for our Open House this afternoon - we enjoyed a great turnout.
The Open House kicks off a busy week for us as Capt Ferguson and the duty crews will be conducting fire safety education with our primary school-aged children each day this week.
Even if you're not in elementary school any longer, it is extremely important that you remember important safety messages that we deliver. Please help us pass these to your friends and family - it takes everyone working on fire safety to successfully prevent fire loss and fire deaths.
For this year, prevention efforts nationwide are focusing on the importance of planning your escape. At home, have a plan with your family. Know a "Plan A" escape route, and also a "Plan B" and a "Plan C" too. Have your escape path end at a safe common meeting place (tree out front; mailbox at the street; end of the driveway; etc.).
Do the same when you're away from home. When in a public place, ask yourself, if there was an emergency right know, what path is the best route to safety? And what is an alternative path in case the first isn't safe? Have a "Survivor's Attitude" and have an escape route.
Do you need help planning an escape route? We can help! Call us at 937-833-2345.
